FRANKLIN TWP. — Two people were seriously injured in a one-vehicle crash at Harding Highway and Dutch Mill Road at 1:21 a.m. Sunday, Nov. 2.

A 2003 Jeep Grand Cherokee driven by a 25-year-old woman from Williamstown was traveling west on Dutch Mill Road when it failed to stop for a stop sign, police said.

The Jeep traveled across Harding Highway and went off the road, hitting a tree head on, said police.

The  driver and a juvenile male passenger were taken by ambulance to Inspira Hospital in Vineland, but the driver was then airlifted to AtlantCare Medical Center-Mainland, where she was listed as being in critical condition, police said.

The juvenile was later airlifted to Cooper University Hospital in Camden. His condition was not avaiable.

Assisting at the scene were Newfield police, Malaga Fire Co., Franklin Township Ambulance Squad, Buena Ambulance and Inspira paramedics.

Charges against the driver are pending completion of an investigation by Detective Jeffrey McGuigan.
