GREENWICH TWP. — On Oct. 31, officers responded to an apartment in the 100 block of North Repauno Avenue at 6:27 p.m. for a report of a burglary that jad just occurred.

The victim had ledft the apartment for a brief period and returned to find that someoen had pried open the door, rummaged through the apartgment and had taken jewelry and electronic items value dat $1,325, police said.

A suspect was quickly located in the area and, after finding that the man had a friend in the same apartment building and admitted to committing the burglary, Brandon Kasan, 30, of Carneys Point, was chargded with burglary and theft, said police.

Kasan was committed to the Salem County Jail in default of$35,000 full-cash bail, police said. All the stolen property was recovered.

The investigation was conducted by Patrolmen William Bramell, Bryan Ciconte, Ryan Gillikin and Ryan Layton, and Detective Louis Damminger.
