GREENWICH TWP. — Responding to a report of an erratic female driver, police were able to stop her red Toyota at Broad Street and Veterans Lane.

The woman reportedly appeared confused and disoriented and there was a 6-year-old girl n the car with her, police said.

When the driver got out of the car, officers allegedly spotted suspected narcotics and paraphernalia on the front seat of the car, said police.

The initial report indicated the Toyota had hit a concrete barricade on Interstate 295 South at exit 18.

The driver and her daughter was transported to police headquarters as K-9 Kilo alerted to the possible presence of narcotics in the car, police said. The car was impounded until a search warrant could be obtained.

The woman was charged with possession of CDS paraphernalia and released, During processing, she allegedly became violent and unruly toward the officers and, at one point, threatened to commit suicide, said police. She had to be restrained after allegedly kicking one officer several times and pushing and slapping others, police said.

Sabrina Guidicipietro-Varona, 37, of Swedesboro, was charged with aggravated assault on police officers, resisting arrest, possession of CDS and paraphernalia, obstruction of justice and unnecessary disturbance, as well as several motor vehicle violations, said police. She was lodged in the Salem County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail, police said.

A search warrant was executed and suspected heroin, prescription medications and other paraphernalia allegedly were found in the car.

The 6-year-old was turned over to a family member.
