HARRISON TWP. — A bomb threat caused the evacuation of Clearview Regional High School when it  was found at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 26.

As in a similar incident within a week, a short, handwritten note containing the threat was found in a classroom, police said.

School administrators followed their protocols and evacuated students and faculty.

Bomb detecting K-9 units from the Gloucester County, Camden County and Cumberland County Sheriff’s Departments and Deptford police swept the building, but nothing was found.

The school was declared safe at about 1:45 p.m. and students and faculty were allowed to return to normal activities, police said.

Police and Clearview staff are investigating both bomb threats and will prosecute those found responsible.

Mantua Township police responded to help secure the school.

Investigator Adam McEvoy and Ptl. Chris Cartella are investigating for the police.

Anyone with information about the threats may call McEvoy at 856-478-6839.
