EAST GREENWICH TWP. — A 45-year-old Deptford woman was arrested after allegedly approaching truck drivers at the T/A Truck Stop on Berkley Road on Sept. 22.

The woman, found in the truck stop at 2:27 a.m., was charged with loitering for the purpose of engaging in prostitution, defiant trespass and possession of an open container in public. She was served with a complaint summons and released.

In other news:

— A Mount Royal resident reported at 10:08 p.m. Oct. 6 that her cell phone had been stolen, after she initially thought it had been lost in a parking lot.

— A household heater valued at $3,500 was reported stolen from a Mickleton home over the Oct. 4-5 weekend.

— Overnight Sept. 30, someone entered a Mickleton house and stole a refrigerator, gas stove/range and dishwasher from the kitchen and a washer and dryer from the laundry room.

— A Mickleton woman told police on Oct. 1 that the day before, she had received a telephone call from a male claiming to be her grandson. The caller said he’d been arrested in New York and needed $2,000. He told the woman to purchase MoneyPak cards which would put the money in an online account. She did so. He called back Oct. 1 and said he needed an additional $1,500 to cover damage to a car. After sending the money, the victim discovered her grandson was not in New York.  

— On  Sept. 20, two unidentified male juveniles broke into an office at a Clarksboro business and tried unsuccessfully to break into a vending machine.
