WOODBURY — A Glassboro man who was arrested on drug charges Nov. 13 in the bathroom of the Glassboro Public Library was denied a request to reduce his $25,000 bail Friday.

Marquise D. Ogawa, 21, was already out on bail and awaiting sentencing for trespass and theft charges, authorities said, when he was arrested for allegedly trying to sell marijuana.

Assistant Gloucester County Prosecutor Dana Anton said Ogawa’s arrest while on bail demonstrated his propensity for continued criminal activity, said authorities.

Ogawa is scheduled to be sentenced Dec. 5 after pleading guilty to trespass in Glassboro for theft and breaking into an Academy Street building and staying there for shelter, on May 28. He allegedly had a 50-inch TV set that belonged to someone else, authorities said.

His Nov. 13 arrest came after police received complaints of drug activity in the library. He was charged with possession of more than an ounce of marijuana with the intent to distribute, said authorities.
