WOODBURY — A 61-year-old Camden man was charged Wednesday with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault and endangering the welfare of a child under 13 in Glassboro.
The assault allegedly occurred in January 2012, authorities said.
James Cole, who was in Glassboro because of a relationship he had with a woman there at the time, went to the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office in Woodbury and was arrested Wednesday. He was jailed in lieu of $100,000 bail, said authorities.
An investigation was launched by the GCPO Major Crimes Unit after the Glassboro child made a disclosure about Cole to a school counselor, who then contacted law enforcement authorities.
Glassboro police assisted in the investigation.
