GREENWICH TWP. — Detectives are looking for a woman who entered two homes on Harmony Road and Memorial Avenue on April 10 pretending they knew the residents.
In both cases, she just walked through an open door, the distracted the residents. At the first house, she managed to steal $172, police said.
At the second home, she asked the resident for change of a $100 bill. Nothing was taken from the second home.
The suspect is described as a black female, heavy set, 40 to 50 years old, 5' 7" tall, curly dark hair.
Officers were on scene immediately but were unable to locate the suspect. A witness from the neighborhood advised that they spotted the possible suspect accompanied on Bennett Street.
