GREENWICH TWP. — Two bodies were found in an Allen Avenue residence Saturday afternoon, and rumors reportedly spread quickly about what had happened to them.

On Monday, police posted a statement on Facebook explaining that officers dispatched to the residence at about 1:20 p.m. to check on the well being of the brother and sister found them dead inside.

An extensive investigation by police and a crime scene unit fund no signs of violence or criminal activity, said police.

A preliminary investigation indicated the male died from natural causes and that the woman died from an accidental adverse reaction to narcotics, police said.

Police did not name the victims.

PAULSBORO — An autopsy performed Saturday has failed to come up with a cause of death for a woman whose body was found Friday.

The 26-year-old woman was found dead at about 7 p.m., Nov. 14 in her Thompson Avenue apartment, authorities said.

She was last seen alive by a relative on Nov. 9 and it’s believed she may have been dead for several days when she was found. Police and the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office considered her death suspicious.

Saturday’s autopsy did not determine the cause of death. Additional tests were performed, but results won’t be available for a couple of weeks.

Pauslsboro Detective Michael Bielski and Detective Steven Ingram of the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Unit served the five arrest warrants. The investigation involved Paulsboro, the Prosecutor’s Office and officers from Deptford, Wenonah, Woolwich, Rowan University and the Atlantic County Prosecutor’s Office, police said.

WOODBURY — Bail for a 29-year-old Gibbstown man who allegedly sold his father’s firearms for heroin remained at $50,000 Friday.

Kyle Still’s lawyer asked for Still to be released on his own recognizance so he could enter a rehabilitation facility, authorities said.

Superior Court Judge Kevin T. Smith said any further reduction in Still’s bail — it had been reduced from $100,000 previously — would be “highly inappropriate.”

Still was charged in Greenwich Township on Nov. 13 with possessing or obtaining suspected heroin, theft and possessing, receiving or transferring a gun, allegedly for trading three revolvers owned by his father for four bundles of heroin.

“If you’re wondering how weapons get into the hands of criminals, this is exactly it,” Smith said.

WEST DEPTFORD TWP. — The public has been generous toward ailing German Shepherd dog Judge, a West Deptford police K-9.

The 9-year-old dog has suffered some medical problems that have resulted in medical bills in excess of $10,000. Since the township’s veterinary care allowance is $300, this put handler Cpl. Mike Franks in a tough spot.

So, with permission, the department launched a GoFundMe website, asking for donations to pay Judge’s vet bills.

Set up on Wednesday, Nov. 12., the project had reached $9,245 by about 8:30 p.m. a day later and, overnight Thursday, passed and exceeded the goal: Friday morning, it had raised $12,070, including a $2,500 from Cornell & Co., according to Sgt. John Chambers, who set up the GoFundMe page.

Donations came from 121 people, according to the website.

The police also received an offer for free medical care for Judge from St. Francis Veterinary Hospital, said Chambers.

In fact, there was a problem with Judge's surgery site and the vet at St. Francis took care of it Friday, according to Franks.

Judge joined the police department in 2007, but had to be retired in 2013 because of problems with his teeth. In June, 2014, Judge started having health issues and was diagnosed with Cushings Disease. He was given medication to help
