CAMDEN — Two Camden men were arrested Saturday with a handgun stolen from Glassboro.
Ptl. Kyle Pesce made a vehicle stop at Marlton Pike and Baird Boulevard at about 4 a.m. Saturday, police said, suspecting the driver of being drunk.
During the arrest of the driver and investigation of the passenger, Pesce reportedly found a loaded 9mm Beretta Pietro that had been reported stolen from Glassboro, said police.
Driver Johnny Pagan, 27, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, certain persons not to have weapons, receiving stolen property, driving while intoxicated and several motor vehicle violations, police said. He was lodged in the Camden County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash-or-bond bail, said police.
Passenger Augustin Ortiz Jr., 25, was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon and receiving stolen property, and was jailed in default of $50,000 bail, police said.
