FRANKLIN TWP. — An 11-year-old girl is being charged with making terroristic threats and unlawful possession of an imitation firearm on the grounds of the Caroline Reutter School on Tuesday.
School officials told police several students had reported that the girl had what they believed to be a gun on the bus on Dec. 2, police said.
Investigation led officers to the girl’s house on Wednesday, where they found what was determined to be a starter pistol that was not loaded and was not capable of firing a projectile, said police.
Juvenile complaints are being lodged against the 11-year-old, who will not return to school until the investigation has been completed, police said.
