EAST GREENWICH TWP.  — An East Greenwich resident recently received a Comcast letter regarding FCC rules and regulations.

The note regards "signal leakage at your residence which exceeds acceptable limits."

Police checked with Comcast and learned the letter was a scam with a North Jersey phone number written on it.

Police are advising residents to not call the number on the letter or to let anyone in without proper identification.

The alert was posted on Facebook and one commenter noted the letter wasn't even using Comcast's current logo.
