WOODBURY — Robert A. Bell, 20, of Philadelphia on Friday was denied a reduction in his $200,000 bail on attempted murder and related weapons charges, after Assistant Gloucester County Prosecutor Joseph Enos pointed out Bell had served time in Pennsylvania for escaping from a halfway house.
Bell was charged with shooting a man in the leg in Franklin Township during a fight on July 26. In addition to the attempted murder charge, Bell was indicted on a charge of possession of a weapon by a convicted felon.
Noting Bell’s record of 11 felony convictions in New Jersey and Pennsylvania, Superior Court Judge Kevin T. Smith denied the bail reduction.
