FRANKLIN TWP. — Two men have been arrested in connection with the Nov. 23 theft of a trailer and an all-terrain vehicle.
The victim had listed the Honda TRX 450R racing-style ATV for sale on Craigslist, police said. He received a text message on Nov. 22 asking if the ATV was still for sale and his response included his home address, said police.
Overnight, the trailer with the ATV and some tools inside was stolen.
An investigation resulted in the arrest on Dec. 3 of Sean Hennessy, 21, and Michael Kellicker, 20, both of Gloucester City, police said.
Investigators said the two men acknowledged looking for ATVs that were for sale and said they also stole an ATV from a neighboring township, said police.
Hennessy and Kellicker were each charged with theft, receiving stolen property, conspiracy and criminal mischief and were lodged in the Salem County Jail in default of 10 percent of $25,000 bail, police said.
Neither of the stolen ATVs have been located.
