WOODBURY — Pierce T. Rogg, 23, of Grand Rapids, Mich., was sentenced Friday, Jan. 16, to serve seven years in the state’s Adult Diagnostic and Treatment Center in Avenel after pleading guilty to endangering the welfare of a child.
Rogg was arrested March 14 by a Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office detective and charged with improperly touching a child under 13 while working as a live-in nanny in a Deptford residence, authorities said.
He was jailed In default of $75,000 bail.
Rogg pleaded guilty on June 20, waiving his right to have the case presented to a grand jury, said authorities.
In an evaluation at the facility for sex offenders in Avenel, Bogg was determined to have repetitive and compulsive tendencies, qualifying him for specialized treatment under the New Jersey Sex Offender Act, authorities said.
