MANTUA TWP. —Gloucester County Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger and Freeholder Jim Jefferson announced that the Department of Health will be holding free health screenings at the County’s Pitman Golf Course and RiverWinds Golf Course during June in honor of Men’s Health Month.

Director Damminger said, “As Father’s Day approaches it is a good time to remind men that their health is important, not only to them, but to everyone who loves them. In celebration of Men’s Health Month free health screenings, such as blood pressure, BMI (body mass index) and dermascan (skin) screening events have been scheduled at two area golf courses.”

Freeholder Jefferson, Liaison to the Department of Health, said, “Regular medical screenings and early detection and treatment for disease and injury save lives.  It only takes a few minutes to get screened and I am sure men’s spouses and children will appreciate that they took the time to pay attention to their health.”

The free screenings in June will be:
Monday, June 1 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Pitman Golf Course, 501 Pitman Road, Mantua.l
Tuesday, June 2 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. RiverWinds Golf Course Pavilion, 270 Eagle Point Road, West Deptford
Friday, June 12 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Pitman Golf Course, 501 Pitman Road, Mantua
Monday, June 15 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Pitman Golf Course, 501 Pitman Road, Mantua
Friday, June 19 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Pitman Golf Course, 501 Pitman Road, Mantual
