GREENWICH TWP. — A Gibbstown woman whose car hit a tree on Route 44 allegedly was sitting in the car drinking when police arrived.
The crash happened at 8:34 p.m. Monday, Nov. 3 at Harmony Road, police said.
A 2001 Ford Taurus had crashed into a tree in front of a house and, when officers arrived, they spotted the female driver drinking, said police.
The driver allegedly argued with the property owners and tried to leave the scene of the crash, police said.
She allegedly refused to get out of the car and officers had to physically remove her, said police. Once out of the car, the woman allegedly yelled profanities at the homeowners and, breaking free from the officers, allegedly tried to attack the property owners, police said.
Stephanie Fiderko, 46, was charged with disorderly conduct, obstruction of justice, driving while intoxicated, having an open container of alcohol in a vehicle and reckless driving, as well as several motor vehicle violations, police said.
She was transported to Inspira Medical Center at Woodbury, where officers obtained a warrant and had blood taken.
