GLASSBORO — Two people were arrested and pills and marijuana were seized when police executed a search warrant Thursday morning.
The warrant, obtained as the result of a month-long investigation, was served at 48 Williams St. at 6:30 a.m. Nov. 6, police said.
The police department’s Special Investigations Unit seized 48 suspected morphine pills, with a street value of $1,000, and less than 50 grams of marijuana, said police.
Linzy “Lenny” E. Bessix, 38, was charged with possession of CDS, possession of CDS with the intent to distribute, possession of CDS with the intent to distribute within 500 feet of public housing and possession of marijuana, police said. He was lodged in the Salem County Jail in lieu of $100,000 full cash bail and outstanding child support warrants for more than $60,000, said police.
Wanita L. Bessix, 37, also known as Wanita Russell, was charged with possession of marijuana. She posted partial bail on several outstanding warrants and was released.
