WEST DEPTFORD TWP. – The Gloucester County Division of Senior Services will be distributing Farmers Market Vouchers this year to 2,000 county income-eligible seniors, announced Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger and Freeholder Jiim Jefferson.
Damminger said, “This year eligible seniors will receive $20 in vouchers toward fresh fruit and vegetables at 23 farmers markets throughout Gloucester County. Our seniors should have access the bounty of our region.”
Freeholder Jim Jefferson said, “Through a federal grant we are able to provide our seniors more options to eat healthy and support our local farmers. Many of our seniors live on a fixed income and every bit helps them and they can use these vouchers to enjoy the abundant produce that is grown locally.” Jefferson is the liaison to the Division of Senior Services.
The 23 locations where seniors can use the vouchers this year include:

The Farmers’ Market Vouchers are for Gloucester County Senior Citizens who have an annual income less then $21,590 for a family of one and $29,101 for a family of two.
Seniors are required to provide income information ( i.e. Social Security statement, 2014 Income Tax, Medicare and Pension statements, bank statement or Medicaid Card and complete an eligibility application before receiving their vouchers). The PAAD card is “NOT” accepted as a source/proof of income eligibility.
