WOODBURY — Bail for a 29-year-old Gibbstown man who allegedly sold his father’s firearms for heroin remained at $50,000 Friday.
Kyle Still’s lawyer asked for Still to be released on his own recognizance so he could enter a rehabilitation facility, authorities said.
Superior Court Judge Kevin T. Smith said any further reduction in Still’s bail — it had been reduced from $100,000 previously — would be “highly inappropriate.”
Still was charged in Greenwich Township on Nov. 13 with possessing or obtaining suspected heroin, theft and possessing, receiving or transferring a gun, allegedly for trading three revolvers owned by his father for four bundles of heroin.
“If you’re wondering how weapons get into the hands of criminals, this is exactly it,” Smith said.
