WEST DEPTFORD TWP. — On Wednesday, Feb. 11, West Deptford detectives received information from a confidential source leading to the identification of the man wanted for robbing the Susquehanna Bank on Kings Highway on Feb 9.
The source said John Christiansen, 42, who was using a black 2004 BMW, police said.
Through a joint investigation with Cinaminson detectives, it was learned Christiansen had been seen in the lobby of a Susquehanna Bank on Route 130 in Cinnaminson, said police.
Cinnaminson police conducted a motor vehicle stop at Route 130 and Riverton Road and arrested Christiansen on outstanding warrants, police said. He was taken to Cinnaminson police headquarters.
Christiansen allegedly confessed to West Deptford detectives that he robbed the Susquehanna Bank branch on Kings Highway on Monday and that he had planned to hold up the Cinnaminson bank Wedmesday, but had a bad feeling and did not go through with it, said police.
Christiansen was charged with criminal attempt and resisting arrest in Cinnaminson. He was charged in West Deptford with robbery and theft, police said. He was committed to the Salem County Jail in default of $75,000 full-cash bail, said police.
