MONROE TWP. — A security video of two people suspected of stealing Apple iPads from a Walmart store has led to the arrest of one of them.
Monroe Township police posted the video on social media sites, showing the man and woman leaving the store in the 1800 block of the Black Horse Pike on Sept. 24.
On Friday morning, Monroe and Millville police arrested Jose Ramos Jr., 37, of Millville and charged him with theft, criminal mischief and conspiracy. Ramos was lodged in the Salem County Jail in default of $35,000 bail, said police.
The woman was identified as his sister, Sonia Ramos. 22, also of Millville. She faces the same charges, for which bail has been set at, $25,000. She is still at large and has been entered into the NCIC (National Crime Information Center) computer system as a wanted person, said police.
The stolen iPads have not been recovered.
