WEST DEPTFORD TWP. — The basement window of a residence on Church Street was forced open Sept. 27 and jewelry and electronics valued at less than $500 were stolen.
The following day, police arrested Todd Dehner, 26, of Thorofare and charged him with that burglary and theft.
Dehner was committed to the Salem County Jail in default of 10 percent of $10,000 bail.
In other police news from West Deptford:
— On Sept. 26, Bruce W. Hemphill, 28, of National Park, was arrested on Mid Atlantic Parkway in Thorofare for being a fugitive from Justice in Philadelphia. He was lodged in the Salem County Jail pending extradition.
— Robert Catalano, of Westville, was charged Sept. 27 with shoplifting at the Zallies’ ShopRite on Route 45. He was served with a complaint summons and released.
— On Sept. 27, Quadree A. Black, 24, of Woodbury, was arrested at Crown Point Road and Red Bank Avenue on an outstanding warrant and for allegedly hindering his own apprehension. He was committed to the Salem County Jail in default of an unspecified amount of bail.
— Stephan P. Lacy, 27, of Woodbury, was charged Sept. 29 with driving under the influence, possession of a controlled dangerous substance and obstruction of justice. He was served with a complaint summons and released pending court.
— On Sept. 30, Joseph J. Duer Jr., 34, of West Deptford, was arrested on Brewer Avenue and charged with possession of heroin, possession of cocaine, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a hypodermic needle. He was served with complaint summonses and released.
— Roosevelt C. Fisher Jr., 31, of Camden, was arrested on Mantua Grove Road on Oct. 1 and charged with outstanding warrants and possession of marijuana. He was processed and released.
— Brooke B. Cline, 28, of West Deptford, was arrested on Hessian Avenue on Oct. 4 and charged with possession of heroin, possession of a hypodermic needle and outstanding warrants. She was served with a complaint summons and released.
— On Oct. 5, Sean T. Carrick, 22, Michele E. Fleming, 21, both of Glassboro, and Nicole M. Caratura, 23, of Croydon, Pa., were arrested on Crown Point Road and charged with possession of CDS, possession of drug paraphernalia and failure to surrender CDS to a law enforcement officer. They were issued summonses and released.
— Shawn S. Roberts, 38, of Woodbury, was arrested Oct. 8 at the Rainbow Motel for outstanding warrants and hindering his own apprehension. He was committed to the Salem County Jail in lieu of an unspecified amount of bail.
— Ronald F. Gilliam, 45, of Sewell, was arrested Oct. 8 on Crown Point Road on outstanding warrants and was charged with possession of CDS. He was lodged in the Salem County Jail in default of an unspecified amount of bail.
— Tyler D. Rule, 23, of Sewell, was arrested Oct. 8 on Ollerton Road and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia. He was served with a summons and released.
— On Ocr. 8, Sherry A. Reinmurth, 45, of Deptford, was charged with shoplifting from the ShopRite store. She was served with a summons and released pending court.
— On Oct. 9, Brian A. Franklin, 36, of Deptford, was arrested on Route 45 at Fifth Avenue and charged with hindering apprehension. He was processed and released.
— On Sept, 26, a Cromwell Court resident told police less than $200 in cash was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
— Several pieces of jewelry and electronics, valued at less than $500, were taken by someone who entered an unlocked vehicle in the 200 block of Myrtle Avenue overnight Sept. 25.
— Someone broke the basement window of a residence in the 1300 block of Lincoln Avenue in Colonial Manor on Sept. 29, causing an estimated $100 damage.
— An unlocked vehicle was entered on Sept. 30 at a Park Place residence and property valued at less than $200 was stolen. Two other Park Place residents reported similar crimes on the same date.
— Cash totaling less than $200 was stolen from an unlocked vehicle at a residence on Peden Avenue Sept. 29.
— On Oct. 1, someone entered an unlocked vehicle in the 1500 block of Mifflin Street and stole $85 cash.
— An unlocked vehicle was entered on Oct. 1 on 5th Street in Thorofare and $15 in cash was taken.
—A vacant Hannold Avenue house was entered on Oct. 2 and all the copper piping was stolen. Michael W. Hardy, 46, of West Deptford, was arrested and charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief. He was served with a complaint summons and released pending court.
— A bicycle valued under $200 was reported stolen Oct. 3 from a residence in the 1500 block of Mifflin Avenue.
