WASHINGTON TWP. — Jacob Lihn, 25,  and Jennifer Pandorf, 24, both of  the same Lupus Lane, address in Washington Township, were arrested Friday and charged with assaulting Lihn's 2-year-old daughter, causing retinal hemorrhaging and bleeding on the brain.

The injuries came to the attention of doctors when the child's mother sought treatment April 11 after the girl had returned from a three-day visit with Lihn. The girl was initially treated at AtlantiCare Regional Medical  Center in Pomona, then transferred to Cooper Medical Center in Camden.  She is now  in a Marlton
rehabilitation  center.

Lihn and Pandorf were charged  with aggravated assault and  endangering the welfare of a child. Lihn was jailed in default of  $50,000 bail and Pandorf was held in default of $40,000 bail. Both are unemployed and  have no other children in their custody.

The investigation was conducted by the Major Crimes Unit of the Gloucester County Prosecutor's Office and the Washington Township Police Department.

FRANKLIN TWP. — He was, as one police officer called him, the epitome of a true warrior.

Yet, here were all these big, burly tough-guy cops, dabbing at the corners of their eyes, sniffling and sobbing, not caring who saw them.

Franklin Township police Sgt. Ippolito “Lee” Gonzalez was fatally shot during a car stop the night of  May 6, 1995. He died hours later, on May 7.

That’s an unbelievable 20 years ago.

WEST DEPTFORD TWP. — Plans to increase the size of the West Deptford police department’s K-9 Unit from two to three dogs advanced Wednesday with the receipt of a check for $7,500 from 4 Heroes Charity Inc.

The organization’s chairman, former Camden K-9 officer Les Whinna, and its president, his daughter Daneen Whinna, made the presentation at the township committee meeting.

WEST DEPTFORD TWP.

— On April 29, Gerorge R. Ingram, 43, of West Deptford, was arrested on Red Bank Avenue for a violation of a restraining order. He satisfied his bail requirements and was released pending further court action.

— On May 2, Christian D. Morrison, 27, of Gibbstown, and Samantha G. Limpert, 29, of Woodbury, were arrested on Crown Point Road. Morrison was charged with hindering his own apprehension and also had outstanding warrants. Limpert was charged with hindering the apprehension of another. Morrison was issued a summons and was turned over to the Paulsboro Police Department for the outstanding warrants. Limpert was issued a summons and released pending further court action.

MANTUA TWP. — On Thursday, May 7 at 7:00 p.m. the Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders will celebrate 46 area high school seniors who have chosen to enter the US Military after they graduate.  The dinner program for the students and their families will be held at  Bogey’s Club and Café at the Pitman Golf Course, 501
Pitman Road, Mantua.

Freeholder Director Robert M. Damminger said, “This program will recognize the seniors for their courageous decision to serve our country and thank them during this graduation season. A lot of attention gets put on the students going off to college, so we wanted to make sure we properly send-off the students who chose to defend America and the world as they finish their high school careers.”

WOODBURY — A Gloucester County grand jury the week of May 4 indicted the following people:

— Michael P. Kellicker, 20, of Gloucester City, for theft and conspiracy to commit theft in Franklin Township on Nov. 23.

— Sean A. Hennessy, 22, of Gloucester City, for theft and conspiracy to commit theft  on Nov. 23 in Franklin Township.

— Christopher J. Reinek, 35, of Williamstown, for robbery, unlawful possession of a weapon and possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes in National Park on Jan. 21.

WASHINGTON TWP. — The Fugitive Investigations Unit of the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office arrested Andrew B. Davoli, 25,  on a bench warrant for failure to appear in court for a hearing on a charge of eluding a police officer.

Davoli was taken into custody without incident at his Turnersville workplace on May 5.  He was turned over to the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Office and is being held without bail.

A judge issued a bench warrant for Davoli’s arrest when he was absent at a scheduled April 20 status conference on his case. Officers of the GCPO fugitive unit learned he was employed at an automotive parts shop and arrested him there.

Davoli is charged with second-degree eluding a law enforcement officer in Harrison Township on Sept. 14. It is alleged an officer signaled him to stop and Davoli fled, leading police on a 20-minute low-speed pursuit.

LOGAN TWP.

4/29:  Representatives of the DREAM Park reported that someone tampered with several water valves and directed the water flow into the main arena in an obvious attempt to disrupt an event.  The attempt was thwarted when discovered by park staff and no damage was reported.

4/30:  Officers charged a 33 -year-old Pedricktown woman with hindering apprehension after she provided false information during a vehicle stop on Commerce Blvd.  During the stop, the accused provided a fake last name and date of birth to conceal active warrants and a license suspension.  Additional summons were issued and an arrest is pending.

WOODBURY — Harry J. Neher, 35, of Woodbury, was convicted Tuesday of murder in the 2012 strangulation and beating death of 41-year-old Sabrina Bullock in Woodbury.

A jury that deliberated about three hours returned guilty verdicts on charges of first-degree murder, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, tampering with evidence, hindering prosecution and unlawful possession of a weapon. The latter three charges are all fourth-degree offenses.
