DEPTFORD TWP. — More than 60 employers who are looking to hire will be on hand at a Gloucester County Career Fair Friday, Oct. 17.
The event will be held in the gymnasium of Rowan College at Gloucester County, 1300 Tanyard Road from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.

EAST GREENWICH TWP. — A 45-year-old Deptford woman was arrested after allegedly approaching truck drivers at the T/A Truck Stop on Berkley Road on Sept. 22.
The woman, found in the truck stop at 2:27 a.m., was charged with loitering for the purpose of engaging in prostitution, defiant trespass and possession of an open container in public. She was served with a complaint summons and released.

WOODBURY — Two Staten Island, N.Y. men will have their bail stay at $35,000 for charges they stole a federal agency’s car in New York and torched it in Deptford.
Richard F. Boyce, 18, and Jonathan A. Moe, 23, allegedly stole a car owned by the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency, then drove it into a wooded area off the New Jersey Turnpike in Deptford on Oct. 4, authorities said.

An appeals court on Thursday, Oct. 9, upheld a woman’s 2012 drunk driving conviction.
Michelle Lynch was found guilty of driving while intoxicated on March 6, 2011 in Paulsboro in a municipal court hearing on April 16, 2012.

Paulsboro man convicted of 2011 sexual assault of former girlfriend

WOODBURY — A 21-year-old Paulsboro man was convicted Thursday, Oct. 9, of sexually assaulting a 17-year-old former girlfriend more than there years ago.
A Gloucester County jury deliberated for about four hours in a two-day period to find Dajon Lester guilty of sexual assault and trespass, authorities said.

14 to receive Gloucester County Women of Achievement award

WOODBURY — The Gloucester County Board of Chosen Freeholders announced that the Commission for Women has selected 14 women to be honored this year at the 2014 Women of Achievement Event.
The event will take place at 6 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, at Auletto’s in Deptford.
The honorees were nominated and selected by the Commission for Women and the Gloucester County Branch of the American Association of University Women.
Tickets to the event are $40 and are still available by calling 856-384-6874.
This year’s honorees are Tricia Sloan, Carol Maggioncalda, Joyce Feder, Gloria Goode, Assemblywoman Gabriela Mosquera, Brigette Satchell, Patricia Mosto, Lisa Morina, Isabelita Abele, Christine Taylor and Kauser Jahan.

WOODBURY — Two of the Gloucester County Sheriff’s Department’s Ten Most Wanted were arrested this week.
On Monday, Oct. 6, Camden County Sheriff’s officers arrested No. 4, Elizabeth Phillips, in Camden. She was wanted for violation of probation and on theft warrants, said Gloucester County Sheriff Carmel Morina.
